Tire slashing spree hits city vehicles and properties
Police investigated a wave of tire slashings damaging cars and trucks on H and F Streets. Incidents at Beattie Motors, Lompoc Valley Motors, Linden's Furniture and Aceco Rentals totaled dozens of tires with losses around 300 dollars and 225 dollars. A reward of 100 dollars was offered by Robert C Lilley for tips leading to arrest and conviction.
