Gulf oil price cut offset by higher taxes in 1974 plan

Saudi Arabia Qatar and the United Arab Emirates cut the posted crude price by 40 cents to 11.25 a barrel while raising royalties from 16.67 to 20 percent and taxes from 65.75 to 85 percent.
