Pan Am Buys Back 2000 Stolen Airline Tickets
Pan American Airways executives disclosed they purchased about 2,000 stolen tickets for 50 000 to 70 000 dollars from underworld figures. The blanks were taken from printers and travel agencies and could be used worldwide with validation. Authorities investigated Mafia-linked operators. no central figures were found and the ransom remains unrecovered.
