Taxpayer groups urge budget move to cut county tax rate
County and state taxpayers associations said the Board of Supervisors could hold tax dollars from the 1977 78 fiscal year to the current county budget, potentially reducing the tax rate by 50 cents per 100 of assessed value. They urged avoiding an increase, noting a June 1 budget briefing ahead of the July 1 start.
