CASC District Nine executives attended a Temple City conference with State Superintendent Wilson Riles and speaker Mr. Camiha of the ACLU. Riles urged CASC to engage in politics and back legislative proposals while Camiha covered student rights and processes around dress codes publications hiring suspensions and related issues.

Proms Set At Cabrillo And Lompoc High This Weekend
The Junior-Senior Prom, the biggest school event of the year, will start at 9 p m Saturday at Cabrillo and Lompoc high schools. Ocean Odyssey themed dances at Cabrillo feature silver green and blue. Decorations led by Linda Daniels and Leslee Lewis with Nancy Thompson Sue McBride Susie Erdman Chris Bishop and John O'Brien coordinating. Apricot band from Morro Bay will supply music after performances around the central coast.

Seniors to have Enrichment Day at Rancho Oso
Cabrillo seniors will take part in Senior Enrichment Day next Tuesday at Rancho Oso with a breakfast in the cafeteria at 8 00, buses to the site, and activities including softball and swimming. 290 seniors signed up for the trip using three district buses funded by the senior class treasury.

The Cabrillo Senior Awards Program will be held in the Little Theater on Wednesday June 2 1971 at 7 p.m. Special academic awards scholarships and recognitions will be presented. The Alpha Club sponsors a summer employment program with an office at Lompoc Senior High School.

Lions announce essay contest for high school students
The Lompoc Lions Club sponsors a essay contest titled What America Means To Me open to freshmen and sophomores from Lompoc and Cabrillo High Schools. Entries due June 1 1971 and limited to 500 words. The winner, announced June 15, will receive an all expenses paid trip to Washington DC including Capitol Arlington Cemetery and the Senate with chaperones from Camarillo school district.
