Danish Spanish Solvang home tour set for tomorrow

A four home Solvang tour featuring Danish American and Spanish styles will open to the public with a 12 30 p m meeting point at Memorial Hall. Tickets are 150 per person with visits to homes of Dr and Mrs William Van Valin Mr and Mrs Ferdinand Sorensen Mr and Mrs Donald Rodebaugh in Solvang and Mr and Mrs Horace Milam in Los Olivos. Proceeds aid UVS projects.

Johns Manville to Consolidate HQ Operations in Denver

Johns Manville Corporation announced a staged relocation of its headquarters and administrative operations from New York City Finderne New Jersey and other U.S. sites to Denver Colorado by September 1972. President W R Goodwin said a thorough survey guided the move to improve efficiency. Executives noted advance transfers begin this summer with full relocation by fall 1972.

Vandal Suspects Identified in Los Berros School Damage

Four Mission Hills teenagers, aged 15 to 17, are suspected of vandalizing Los Berros School last weekend. Two are in Juvenile Hall, one fled ahead of deputies, the fourth to be taken into custody. Estimated damage about $3000. a tape recorder was recovered. Principal Lloyd Crossman says the final loss may be lower after inventory.

Students study fish continued in breeding and behavior

Michael T. Sloan named valedictorian and Barbara Ann Wilson named salutatorian for Lompoc High School class. Sloan plans music major at Allan Hancock College. Wilson to Santa Clara College for math. Senior awards program set May 28 at 7 30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

City Recreation swimming registration opens at 8 am

The Daily Record notes registration for children's swimming classes sponsored by the City Recreation Department will be taken tomorrow at the department offices 105 S. C St from 8 am to 5 pm. Separate sessions for beginners and pre-beginners 2:30 to 3:30 pm and 3:30 to 4:30 pm plus advanced beginners and intermediates 4:30 to 5:30 pm are listed with a two week session fee of 4 dollars.

Rosary Tonight for Juan LaFourcade 86

Juan LaFourcade 86 died at his home. A Rosary is set for 8 p.m. at 1214258 F St. Mass will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at La Purisima Catholic Church with Father Andrew McGrath officiating. Burial follows at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. He came to Lompoc in 1900 and worked on local ranches. Survivors include four nieces, 16 grand-nieces and nephews, and seven great grand-nieces and nephews.

Pt Sal State Beach status disputed between state and base

State Parks official says access is restricted for security during missile launches while Vandenberg AFB notes Pt Sal remains open to the public with occasional evacuations. County records show a 1965 agreement to transfer control, renewed in 1970, with the base ultimately maintaining the site.
