Fred H. Bock, a senior engineer at Johns Manville, withdrew today as a candidate in the Fourth Supervisorial District. He cited health and campaign strain from an incomplete organization, thanked supporters, and said his name remains on the ballot while Will M. Harris remains the active challenger to incumbent Francis H. Beattie. Ann Sweet said sample ballots are printed and mailed this week.
