An ICCS helicopter carrying nine aboard was fired on twice by small arms as it descended over Communist territory 98 miles southwest of Saigon. No injuries reported. aircraft diverted to Tri Ton. Separate incidents included a mined rail line near Saigon and a civilian killed by a land mine in Quang Tri.

CMI Closes Doors Over Funds After Prop 19 Bid

Communist gunners set fire to the tanker Vira I and damaged another vessel as relief ships tried to reach Phnom Penh by the Mekong River.
