City Council Agenda Sets Aging Panel and Comprehensive Zoning Changes

The City Council meets at City Hall tomorrow to discuss creating a five member advisory commission on aging with senior citizen representation and staff aid from Parks and Recreation. Other items include a RA zone update with appeals rules, a state transportation funds claim, a smaller community center design scope, nuisance station closures, and a new sewage ordinance. City to unveil sewer ordinance tackling salt discharge

Tomorrow night the Lompoc City Council will present a mineral source control ordinance to curb salt in wastewater. The measure targets four major dischargers including Culligan Rayne Hospital and Red Star Laundry, with a February 1 1975 cutoff for high salt waste and a requirement to meet NPDES permit conditions.

City Council to seek open gas pricing proposal
