CAPE KENNEDY UPS The Air Force put into space a secret 1,800 pound satellite designed to give the United States longer warning of a Soviet or Chinese missile strike. The Titan 3D rocket carried the craft into a near stationary orbit over Asia and to monitor ICBM tests while distinguishing orbital launches from ordinary satellites.
