Lompoc Suspect Caught in Oregon in Wire Theft Case
Robert Edward White, 28, formerly of Lompoc, was arrested in Medford Oregon on suspicion of stealing about five tons of copper electrical wire from Lompoc's Laurel Avenue corporate yard. The $5000 loss dates to April 5 and White formerly worked Feb 25 to Mar 24 for the city sanitation department. Police say a rental truck linked White to moving the wire to the Watts area near Los Angeles for sale as part of the case.
