Education funds restored partially for Lompoc district
Congress restored about three quarters of a 900 000 plus cut in federal aid under Public Law 874 for Lompoc Unified. District business manager Joe Carlin says on base entitlement reaches 100 percent and off base 54 percent, totaling 2.074 million for year ending June 30 versus 2.338 million budget. A future year could lose all off base military education funds, threatening reserves to cover shortfall.
