The proposed 1969 70 county budget may surprise county supervisors and taxpayers when presented for consideration later this month. A budget task force is involved in the process.
The Lampoc Art Association will host guest speaker Paul Winslow, an Allan Hancock art instructor, at the May 6 meeting. Winslow will discuss art judging and juries, drawing on his extensive background as teacher, artist, and lecturer.
Lom poc Valley Cable TV will televise the potential final game of the Lakers Celtics national championship series Monday at 7 p.m. on Channel 2. One Boston station, five theaters in Los Angeles and local cable systems will video the game.
County Flood Control and Water Conservation District officials set a special meeting for Tuesday May 6 at 10 a.m. in the County Administration Building Santa Barbara. They will discuss updating the county wide water report by consulting engineer R M Edmonston. The report covers participation in the State Water Project and other potential supplemental water schemes for the county.

Los Angeles attorney Grant Cooper predicted the UPI report states the U S Supreme Court would overturn Sirhan B Sirhan's murder conviction He argued the trial erred admitting notebooks and that the jurors were not a representative cross section of Los Angeles County Cooper cited the four amendment issue and noted a new trial may occur later in Los Angeles County courts
Four bids were opened for park improvements east of Toro Canyon Road Carpinteria with Martin E Roe of Santa Barbara the low bidder at 15516. Other bids came from E H Haskell Co Santa Barbara 16052 C and J Lambert Santa Barbara 16302 and Madonna Construction Co San Luis Obispo 16566. County engineers estimated 15000 and the Board of Supervisors will act on the bids.
Scott Robinson six was given a baby chick for Easter in Fayette Iowa. Mrs Richard Robinson solved indoor play issues by making miniature three corner diapers for the chick which she changes twice daily.
