The Mission Hills area reports a February through March round of activities. Ruth Norris students performed songs and choral speaking for YMCA program awareness, the Village Hills Little League held a March 19 board meeting approving a 20 team schedule with twenty games per division and no post season play, and five Lompoc high school students plus a faculty member were invited to a April 18 symposium in Los Angeles. Union Sugar advances beet payment to record level
Union Sugar raised the net selling price for 1973 crop sugar beets from 11.25 to 12.00 per ton, boosting grower returns to 20.00 per ton for beets with 15 percent sugar.
