Tandam breaks ground on 20 million Santa Maria plant
Tandam Associates, a Santa Maria Valley growers group, began construction of a 600000 square foot food processing and storage facility at the Santa Maria Industrial Park. The $20 million plant on Blosser Road will start operations in about a year with 400 workers and a major contract with General Foods to freeze and package broccoli cauliflower and spinach for Birds Eye.
