Bridge permits sought over navigable slough

Indians press for Fort Lawton as cultural center
The United Indians of all tribes vote to continue around the clock picketing at Fort Lawton until the Army designates the post for a native cultural center. Boeing 747 Forced Back From Hawaii After Engine Issue
A Pan American World Airways 747 with 384 aboard diverted to Los Angeles after losing oil pressure in one engine 400 miles from the coast en route to Honolulu. The craft landed safely and passengers were moved to another 747 for the Hawaii flight.
