Lompoc Chess Club Hosts Playoff Match to Crown County Champion
Lompoc Valley Chess Club meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Community Building. Cabrillo and Lompoc high schools varsity teams vie in a two match playoff for the Santa Barbara County High School Chess League championship with Vic tor to gain the Supervisor Beattie Perpetual Trophy. Rob ert Byrd of Cabrillo organizes a March 30 junior varsity tournament inviting all league teams.
