Anti black hiring may get hearing

State Personnel Board president said she would be glad to schedule a hearing on charges by civil rights leader Leonard Carter that state government has an anti black hiring policy. Carter claimed civil service requirements subtly discriminate against minorities and cites a 1966 1969 ethnic census report. Gov Reagan said he would not tolerate such practices.

AF divisions reorganized across Strategic Air Command

Fifteen Air Force divisions realigned along responsibility lines with six divisions affected. The 47th Air Division will move to Fairchild AFB and oversee bomber and tanker operations for 15th Air Force. The 14th Air Division at Beale AFB will manage strategic air reconnaissance. The 4th Air Division shifts to F. E. Warren AFB to run Minuteman missiles. Titan wings fall under 12th Air Division at Davis-Monthan AFB. Two divisions deactivate, 17th at Whiteman and 810th at Minot, effective by June 30.
