In Lompoc Valley Riders first year show at La Salle Stables 70 participants competed for high point trophies in show and gymkhana divisions. Shuttle delays threaten viability of NASA program

NASA Administrator James Fletcher warned that further elongation of the space shuttle program beyond delays tied to 1974 funding cuts could render the project non viable. Lompoc Savings Merges Into Imperial Savings Central California

Lompoc Savings and Loan Association was acquired by Imperial Corp of America on February 14 through a merger into Imperial Savings and Loan Association of Central California. The Lompoc office will operate as Imperial Savings of Central California with main office in Fresno. President David C. Safina said staff changes are minimal and the consolidation expands service between Fresno and Santa Barbara regions.

Bicyclist dies after collision on Jamison Road Montecito
