First Presbyterian Church Lompoc Sunday Worship and Activities

The 9 30 a m service features the sermon Dont Let The Glory Blind You led by Rev Kenneth R Boyd with Church School at 9 30 a m and adult classes after worship until 11 Nursery care is available Youth fellowship meets at 7 p m The pastor's Bible class is Tuesday at 10 a m Circle meetings of United Presbyterian Women are planned at homes this week Two children s choirs rehearse Thursday at 6 30 p m and the chancel choir at 7 45 p m The Santa Barbara Presbytery convenes March 23 at St Andrews Church Santa Barbara Rev David Luna will speak at First Baptist Church Lompoc in a bi lingual service with the First Mexican Baptist Church of Lompoc and American Baptists who support 70 Hispanic congregations in Southern California A potluck follows worship and at 2 p m board members from Lompoc Oak Knolls and Santa Maria meet with Rev Luna to discuss church cooperation The evening mission theme continues with a program by the American Baptist Women Last week the women dedicated quilt blocks bandages and other handwork for the mission field A monthly potluck is set for Wednesday and a workday is scheduled Saturday from 9 a m to 4 p m

End of the World Sermon at Church of Christ Sunday

The Church of Christ at 138 North O Street will host Sunday morning services with a sermon titled It’s End is the Way to Death from Prov 14 12 The evening sermon will address The Knocking Jesus A Tuesday prayer service at 10 am focuses on individual prayer for the sick bereaved and lonely with requests received from distant areas and states The program is directed by church leaders Continued on Page 9.
