Tax Revision Proposal Aims to Cut Homeowners Taxes

In Sacramento Assemblyman Joe Gonsalves says a $2 billion tax revision plan could lower property taxes if passed with Gov Reagan's backing. The proposal, larger than last year's $1 billion plan, may be introduced Thursday. Speaker Moretti says the new plan could be at least $1.5 billion.

Prisoners Locked Up at San Quentin After Week of Violence

At San Quentin state prison 3,500 inmates remained under general lockup over the weekend after seven days of racial clashes that left 12 inmates stabbed and one dead. Diary notes led to death by own action of UC Santa Barbara student

Bill Andreco a 17 year old UC Santa Barbara student kept a three week diary detailing intent to die by his own hand. He poisoned himself with cyanide and was buried after a funeral at El Camino Memorial Park.
