Hancock spikers fall in Western State Conference opening
Hancock College opened its 1973 track slate with a third place finish in a triangular meet on the AHC oval. Glendale College edged Santa Barbara City College 69-61 to win. Hancock managed two victories by Doug Tubbs in the mile and Ron Vogt in the three mile, as Glendale dominated with multiple double wins including Steve Albright in shot put and discus.

Allan Hancock College defeated Moorpark 4 3 in both games of a Saturday doubleheader to open Western State Conference action. Dave Vosburg earned his second win with eight innings in game one while Dennis Hall matched him in game two. Hancock improves to 6 4 on the year and hosts Glendale College tomorrow at 2 30 p.m.
