Local Chess Clubs Highlight April Anniversaries and Tournaments
The Lompoc Valley Chess Club marks its fifth anniversary on April 17 with ceremonies at the Community Building. It also hosts the fifth annual Lompoc Valley Junior Chess Tournament April 26 28. Santa Maria Valley Chess Club runs a five round Swiss Short Spring Open starting April 15 at Limas Park Recreation Building. Caissa Chess Club Cal Poly plans a five round Swiss May 4.
