Five injured in weekend highway accidents in Santa Barbara area

Five people were hurt in five highway accidents over the weekend. Lemna Poole, 33, suffered a wrist injury when her car overturned on Lompoc Casmalia Road. Nathaniel Davis Jr., 33, escaped injury. Hatch, 71, of Goleta, had head cuts after his car plunged down a 25 foot embankment on Highway 101. Linda Kaminsky, 29, of Hollywood, sustained minor injuries on Highway 1 near Lompoc. Donald Stout, 22, and Donna Hecker, 16, were injured in a collision at Highway 246 and Drum Canyon Road. Ronnie Robinson, 24, escaped injury after striking and killing a cow on Highway 1.

Break-in at El Camino School reports small theft

Burglars broke into El Camino School between Friday and Sunday and stole an estimated 1 to 2 dollars. Johnnie B. Jones, 22, of 717 North F Street Apt. D, was booked in Lompoc Jail Saturday on charges of battery against his wife Donzetta J. Jones with a bail of 375 dollars. Police say she had facial bruises. Three San Fernando Valley men were arrested near Sudden Ranch at Jalama Beach for narcotics possession. Charles Kielas 18 Curt Witteberg 17 Harrison Ray Gregory 17 were taken to juvenile hall.
