Sheriff Plans Cut in Patrol Car Mileage to Save Gas

Sheriff John W Carpenter moves to reduce patrol car mileage as fuel shortages bite. The department aims for under two million miles yearly, with 1,936,000 projected this year and 1,968,251 in 1972-73.
