The Santa Ynez Valley Coordinating Council will meet at Santa Ynez Valley High School at 8 pm to discuss Independence Day activities. Topics include queen contest, parade theme winner prize, Nosoqui Falls Park picnic, and a bicentennial satellite telecast with Solvang and Denmark partners.
In two Buellton meetings last Thursday night the Buellton Businessmen's Assn. opposed an elected regional planning commission while the Buellton Residents Assn. endorsed the concept and supported member election over appointment. The actions mirror Solvang's stance opposing the change.
Buellton residents hear a description of pending Santa Ynez Valley agricultural land rezoning by John L. Wiester at a Buellton Community Services District meeting. William Jensen translates estimated water service costs for a planned new facility. Attorneys Zel Canter and Edward Norstrand discuss the Solvang Justice Court race. American Field Service announces domestic exchange programs with applications due April 15 and details from Phyllis Hymoff.
