Judy Snipes a 17 year old Cabrillo High senior was crowned 1970 Flower Festival Queen at Veterans Memorial Hall. Five finalists competed including Dianne Bouslaugh Linda Lance Carmen Vargas and Valerie Woodward with Woodward as runner up Vargas as second runner up Shyri Boyd named Miss Congeniality. Ceremony guided by Pamela Dee Tedesco and others featured music from Cabrillo High School Band and performances by all nine candidates.
