Timbers in Ice on Ararat Spur Noahs Ark Claim
An expedition plans to investigate hand hewn timbers embedded in ice on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey to test the claim they are remnants of Noahs Ark. Researchers note white oak rarity near the mountain and conflicting carbon dating results. If tests support a shiplike structure, a larger 1971 dig could follow.
