Car Recovered After 1969 Volkswagen Theft
Police recovered a 1969 Volkswagen stolen May 31 from Bob Joe Gaston of 1313 W Fir Ave. Suspect Patricia Cruisenberry alias Wakefield, 19, is in federal processing. Vehicle found in Chatsworth, a community in the western San Fernando Valley.

Collision Near Laurel and D injures no one
Kimberly Ann Hillin age 17 of 1408 W Nectarine Ave and Phyllis Ann Schroeder age 42 of 528 N Second St escaped injury in a two car collision at Laurel Avenue and D Street. Hillin was northbound and Schroeder westbound. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

Taxpayer may sue over Goleta jail design action

Hart proposes independent agency for consumer protection
