Village church to house donated 13 rank pipe organ
United Church of Christ in Vandenberg will install Dr. Orpha Ochse’s 868 pipe instrument, bought for 3000 dollars after space limits at Whittier College ended the initial donation plan. Volunteers completed disassembly, transport, and reassembly in 85 hours. Ochse will lecture Saturday and dedicate the organ Sunday with Floyd Stancliff on flute.

About eleven thousand students and 800 staff wrapped the 1974-75 year with early release at Cabrillo and Lompoc high schools. Commencement plans include 10:30 a.m. for about 400 Lompoc seniors and 2 p.m. for 400 Cabrillo seniors with Disneyland and all night partying ahead. The school board met to review a 15 million dollar budget and tentative teacher raises remain undecided.
