Appealing scene stealers Joel Arreola Tony Vega and Debbie Duran modeled tiny tots apparel in a fashion show by the American GI Forum at La Purisima Parish Hall attended by about 100. Organizers were Hector Arreola and Albert Ramirez with local shops supplying clothing and shoes. Musician Ted Dudgeon and Larry Armstrong provided performances as Elizabeth Arreola Celia Baldivier Debbie Carreyette Kathy Duran Gail Ramirez Robert Vargas and Linda Will led the youthful and teen models.

Cub Scouts 704 held a monthly meeting featuring a pinewood derby officiated by Cubmaster Jim Cerrato on a 30 foot track. Doug Meiners won the Cub champion title and best built car. Ralph Weller and family in Arlington welcomed Sgt Ed Lovett and daughter Jennifer for two week visit with son Christopher from Dallas joining for a reunion. A birthday celebration for 13 year old Jeff was held with many relatives and local presenters referenced.

Members of the Omega Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held a farewell coffee at Miss Marjie Browning’s home 238 N. C St. on Monday night honoring Mines Dale Borgard Jeff Brewton and Lee Riddiough. Oldsters held a memorial service for recently deceased members with silent prayer, a reading from In Flanders Field, and a hour of cappella singing of old-time selections. Enid Brewer served refreshments. A business session will start the weekly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Recreation Center 105 S. C St. New members over 40 are invited to join the no dues club run by the Lompoc Recreation Department.

Woman's Club Outing Visits Santa Ynez Homes
The Lompoc Community Woman's Club hosted 43 members and 10 guests for a luncheon at Mattei's Tavern Los Olivos followed by tours of two Santa Ynez homes the Harper Forrests and Mrs Archie Hunt. An 1844 church house features a rock fireplace and antique furniture. A Busy Bee meeting is set for Friday June 6 at Mrs Hugh Moreland's home with a 9 30 a.m. start and suggested lunches as the club begins work on holiday bazaar items.
