Sirhan Sirhan, 33, says he remembers nothing of the 1968 assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy. He told Los Angeles county officials during a three hour visit at a prison that he wants to return to the Ambassador Hotel pantry to visualize events. His attorney said Sirhan questions whether he killed Kennedy and mentioned possible brainwashing theories but denied knowledge of any conspiracy.

Folger Coffee Co. announced a wholesale price cut from 4.18 to 3.98 a pound as part of a trend after prices peaked this year at 4.46 a pound. The move aims to ease retail costs, with Safeway cutting its Folger price to 4.09 in some regions while other roasters held prices. The price drop follows declines in imported green coffee costs and cautious guidance from industry executives on consumption.

Thousands of sharks chase beachgoers at Port Aransas resort
Thousands of sharks, some about 12 feet, swarmed the Padre Island coast near Port Aransas Texas sending tourists from the water. Marine biologists offered no definite reason for the gathering though one said it may reflect sharks following food fish into shallow water. Coast Guard helicopters warned swimmers as the packs grew to about a thousand before dispersing later that day.

Alaska oil pipeline fee sparks legal battle over revenue
Alaska lawyers say a 6.04 dollar per barrel shipping fee could yield a 100 percent return for Atlantic Richfield if approved, shifting costs and royalties. The state opposes the fee as a dispute with the pipeline builders over how profits will be split when oil flows this summer. The wellhead price, royalty at 12.5 percent, and a salvage fund for pipeline removal are all in dispute as hearings approach.
