Films Bring Economy Labor Topics To Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara Media Task Force will screen three films on the U.S. economy and labor this Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Church 1535 Santa Barbara Street. A 75 cent donation supports the series with child care provided and the films mark the fourth installment in July and August Sunday evenings. An arrest report notes John O Branovich 59 of FCI faced second offense drunken driving charges in Lompoc Justice Court after CHP arrested him just after 2 a.m. at Central and Floradale Avenues. A theft report says a television valued at $75 was stolen from Eva Chill 1116 E Maple Ave sometime Monday through Wednesday and reported yesterday.

Santa Barbara Kennel Club 43rd Anniversary Dog Show

The Santa Barbara Kennel Club presents the 43rd Anniversary Show with 3 662 dogs across 120 breeds judged Sunday from 8 a m at the polo fields Nidever Road and Highway 101. The event features sled dog racing whippet and relay races and about 200 obedience entries under a giant 860 by 125 foot tent.
