Legislative staff earns more than lawmakers in California
A UPI survey finds 130 of 1,000 legislative employees paid above legislators. Despite session stipends, about half of staffers earn more than their bosses, with top salaries for aides to Mills, McCarthy, and other leaders. An official report argues pay levels are generally comparable to private and public sectors.
