Goleta contractor faces jail again on new charge
Edward Fleming a Goleta Valley contractor with prior jail terms for zoning violations was arraigned in Santa Barbara Municipal Court on a new misdemeanor charge filed by the County Planning Department. The arraignment was continued to July 30 as public defender representation is arranged. He has a long history including 1965 zoning disputes and contempt judgments for keeping junk and inoperative vehicles on his property. If convicted he could face up to 30 days in jail and a fine or both.
