Amin cuts ties with Arab guerrillas after Entebbe raid

Lompoc LEDA struggles to lure new industry and jobs

Cha Carmichael of the Lompoc Economic Association says LEDA has failed to attract a substantial industry after five years of effort. Pat Nixon in Improved Condition After Stroke Battle

Pat Nixon, 63, remains serious but stabilizing after a paralyzing stroke. Doctors say she will need three to four months of treatment and is expected to be released from Long Beach hospital in about one week to 10 days, with some motor weakness but improved speech and controlled blood pressure.
