Oakland Raiders add veteran running back Leroy Kelly

The Raiders claimed Leroy Kelly off waivers from Cleveland, adding a top all-time NFL rusher who had 7,274 yards in 10 seasons though knee issues limited him to 380 yards last year. Glenn Adams joined Sacramento, then left with 10 homers this season after a three-homer six game stretch. The Giants split a two game set, losing 11-6 and winning 8-2.

Valley teen Bowser wins world title at infantile games

Mark Bowser a 14 year old from Lompoc Valley captured heavyweight gold at the World Infantile Games in Lima Peru. Keith Duggan also placed third at 100 pounds as about 120 competitors from 12 nations contested eight weight classes. Bowser pinned opponents from Argentina Peru and Panama and defeated a Mexican foe to claim the title.

Miller chases pace at British Open as Morgan leads
