Marriages in Lompoc Latter Day Saints Chapel

Linda Klingler and Victor Pietrzak wed in a double ring ceremony on June 27 at Lompoc Latter Day Saints Church. Officials included Bishop R Lynn Rasmussen. The couple, both with local and military family ties, celebrated with a large reception and musical program.

Children invited to enter extended art contest

Lom poc Jr Alpha Club sponsors an art contest with the theme Expressions of Patriotism extended to July 15. Children ages 8 to 13 may submit paintings sized 8 by 10 to 12 by 15 in 3 age groups. Prizes include two adult ticket books and a Disneyland child book for first place and a Disneyland child ticket book for second place.

Grand officer visits Rainbow for Girls in town

Miss Anita Anderson grand worthy advisor in California visited her home assembly here last week between official Southern California visits. Three girls were initiated into Lom poe Assembly Susan Holmes Shalah Stokes and Mary Ann Willis. First place Flower Festival float trophy was presented. Upcoming events include a Rainbow candy sale on Saturday July 12 and a car wash project on July 19.

Alpha Club hosts California Federation conference tomorrow

Summer conference of Tierra Adorado District California Federated Women's Clubs will be held at Alpha Clubhouse 704 E Ocean Ave with registration at 9 10 a m. Mrs William H Boone district president will open with a workshop for club presidents and the district dean of chairman at 10 a m. Closed workshop for district chairmen led by Mrs George Thompson of Simi. Budget 1969 70 and venues for TA meetings discussed. Awards from state federation announced. Reservations via Mrs Leonard Clayton and Mrs Glen Wegner.

Local girl wins Lenox table setting fifth place

Miss Donna Jenkins of Lompoc placed fifth in the 15th Lenox creative table setting contest. About 350,000 students from more than 10,000 schools competed nationwide for recognition in planning, color schemes, and coordinated accessories. Judges included Sylvie Reice, Edmund Motyka, Richard A. Shepard, Ruth MacLeod, and Anne Semmes.

A ladies golf event at Vil lage Country Club last week allowed players to drop one bad hole. Norma Stillman won first flight with Marge Jensen and Ginny Sphar tied for second. second flight victors were Joyce Campbell first with Norma Staffel and Mable McClendon tied for second. third flight winners were Wanda Anderson and Barbara Murdy tied for first with Elise Brisco second.
