Apollo Saturn V prelaunch test uncovers valve fault
Two round tests were conducted before the July 16 launch of astronauts Armstrong Collins Aldrin. A valve in a liquid hydrogen line on the 250 foot level of the umbilical tower caused a hold while the rocket was fully fueled. The crew did not participate in the test due to risks of a fully fueled Saturn V. They will perform a dry run after propellants are drained.
