Smithsonian official loans Indian books to local museum

Dr. John C. Ewers, a Smithsonian official, donates a collection of his Indian publications to the Lompoc Museum for public study in the Research Library this month. The set includes titles on Plains Indians, ethnography, and portraiture with illustrated volumes and biographical works.

American Voices Pledge Debut Aboard DAR Meeting

Capt Henry Sweetser Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a program on the Pledge of Allegiance with accents and a slide show of US landmarks by Mr and Mrs Eugene Ryan. The event featured a performance of the National Anthem from Ft McHenry and welcomed new member Mrs Beth Ellen Klaus. Plans were announced for the 40th anniversary tea of Mitz Kahna Khan Chapter DAR in Ventura on Feb 7.
