Coroner's jury rules Panther deaths justified

Mercury Stolen From Union Oil Pumps In La Purisima Lease
Over 128 pounds of mercury valued at more than 1100 dollars were taken from 17 Union Oil pumping meters in the La Purisima lease. Deputies believe entry wasmade by motorcycle as gates were locked and tracks were found near the pumps. Mercury sold for 8.50 a pound, per deputy report.
