California forms science and technology advisory council

Assembly Speaker Robert Monagan announced a 16 member science and technology advisory council to identify state problems early. The group will link the legislature with the scientific community to address environment urban development criminal justice and health and will have an initial 50000 dollar appropriation. Dr Gordon JF MacDonald chairs the panel with members from Caltech UC Berkeley UC Santa Barbara and Wyle Laboratories.

Woman on bail held for murder in triple death case

A Los Angeles woman, Archia Mae Anders, 26, freed on bail for a prior murder charge, is held on a new murder count in the deaths of her two year old Pauletta and one year old Reginald and Theresa Ann Tollar. She allegedly wounded a male acquaintance before surrendering to police.

Former state president to speak at Lom poc Jaycees event
