Fine Arts Festival lineup at Cal Poly features lectures and performances
The 13 day Fine Arts Festival at Cal Poly opens Friday with seven events public. Balcon y Theater of Los Angeles presents short plays Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in Cal Poly Theater. Andrew Hudson and Richard Armour give lectures 8 p.m. January 20 and 22 with tickets $1.50/$0.75 and $1/$0.50 respectively.

Dime collectors aid Lompoc March of Dimes drive
Dime coin collectors are being distributed in the Lompoc area this week by the Lompoc Elks Club and the Coors Beer Distributors to support the March of Dimes fund raising drive during January. Campaign director Henry Grennan notes gratitude for volunteers and urges contributions to help the 250 000 birth defects victims each year.
