Court upholds Goleta Water District in AVCO suit
Santa Barbara County Superior Court sustained demurrers for the Goleta County Water District in a claim by AVCO Community Developers Inc seeking water for a 142 unit Goleta Valley condo project. Judge Westwick ruled the petitioners failed to prove the district had sufficient water for the full development. The ruling comes as related legislative moves consider county planning commission appointment parity and possible bill changes. Registration for Allan Hancock College Lompoc Center and Cabrillo High School enrollment is set for January 24 at Hapgood School, with classes starting February 2.
