County Bans Mountain Travel To Prevent Entrapment

Vandenberg Village girl found safe after sheriff search
A sheriff's department search and rescue operation ended happily as a Vandenberg Village girl returned home safe this morning. The forecast calls for fair conditions with patchy morning fog and increasing clouds into Friday. Highs in the 50s today and Friday, lows in the 30s, southerly wind 10 to 20 mph, with tides peaking around 4.8 to 5.8 feet and low tides near 1.4 to minus 0.7 feet.
