Flood control storage plan eyed for Santa Ynez river basin

Principal faces legal challenge over school supply drive

Buena Vista Elementary School in Vandenberg Village faced queries after Principal Wilbur Krauth sent notices asking parents to buy paper, pencils, glue and other pupil supplies. Weekend Rain Drives In With Strong Winds

Rain begins this afternoon and lingers through Friday with high temperatures in the 60s. Tonight’s low in the high 50s, southeast winds 15 to 25 mph increasing to 20 to 35 mph. Rain heavy at times. Friday tides reach 6.9 feet at 10:26 am with lows of 1.8 feet at 4:14 am and 1.6 feet at 5:38 pm.
