Don Williams 18 a Cabrillo High senior suffered a broken thigh in a snow accident at Mt Abel Saturday. He was with a Mission Hills Baptist Church youth group and moved his leg to avoid a tree on a toboggan run. He is at Lom poc District Hospital.

Funeral services held for Harry J. Reycraft Jr in Chandler
Harry J. Reycraft Jr., 46, a former Lompoc resident, died December 27, 1969 in Chandler. American Legion conducted military services, with burial at Gardens of Peace in Chandler. He served in the U S Navy aboard the USS Edgecomb in the Asiatic Pacific, earned Good Conduct and Victory medals, and was honorably discharged in 1945. He moved to Chandler 18 years ago and ran a Blakely Oil Co service station. Survived by three daughters Annette Barbara Ann Harriette, his father Harry J. Reycraft Sr, and sisters Nora Thorne Mary Scherer Ricki Withrow.

Emil Scolari announces retirement as Lompoc utilities manager effective June 30 after more than 46 years in public and private utility work. He recalls guiding the city's growth with the Vandenberg AFB boom and plans to stay in Lompoc with wife Doris, plus a Europe trip. His son Bob works at Martin Marietta WAFB.
