Lompoc Chess Team Competes in Western Championship
Lompoc High School varsity and junior varsity travel to San Clemente for the Western High School Chess Championship. Ayyar finishes third with 5-1, winning $50 toward Cleveland trip. Benesh takes Class D first, Day 34½, Wolanin 1 point. Public invited to Central Coast finals Feb 26 at St Joseph High Santa Maria.
