FBI says ransom call offers Atlanta editor's release

The FBI reported the Revolutionary Army kidnapers have agreed to free John R. Murphy tonight if $700000 is paid. Split proposal faces strong county opposition near La Purisima

Valley land use study under way in Lompoc area

The Fourth Supervisorial District Advisory Committee begins an 18 month study to chart future land use for Lompoc Valley. County planning staff and consultants from Livingston and Blayney will assist. About 25 people attended the initial meeting at the county annex. The panel will craft goals and policies for the General Plan with a final report due July 1, 1975 and a March 14 meeting scheduled.
