Two file papers for Santa Maria judge post

Santa Maria Municipal Court Judge S Jon Gudmunds and deputy county public defender Joseph A Linggi filed nomination papers Friday for the municipal court post. A $334.81 filing fee was paid. They have until March 8 to qualify for the June primary. If both qualify they will face off in the county's only judicial contest. Meanwhile Judges Westwick Gowans seek new full terms. Gowans was appointed last year to fill the late Judge Parent’s term.
